Hometown Preferred Checking

The Hometown Preferred Checking account (formerly NOW account) provides all of our quality services and account options while paying you interest on your qualifying deposit balances (minimum opening deposit required).  Interest rates are “tiered” depending upon the Average Collected Balance you maintain . . . the more you keep on deposit, the higher the interest rate.

No Frills Checking

The No Frills Checking account provides the customer who writes only a few checks per month the lowest possible charges.  This account has no minimum balance requirement (minimum opening deposit required), no monthly service charge, ATM/Visa Check Card offered (monthly fee applies) and Free starter checks.  This account does charge a fee per check written, so the fewer checks you write per month, the less this account costs you to maintain.

Money Market Account

Our Money Market Account is designed for individuals and enterprises who want a combination of higher rates and transaction privileges.  Interest rates are “tiered” according to the Average Collected Balance in the account.  There is a minimum opening balance and limited withdrawals from this account.

Stop in or call to speak with one of our knowledgeable staff about our different types of checking accounts.  We will be happy to help you find the type of account that fits your needs.

Savings Accounts

A Savings Account is for the customer who wants to earn interest on his or her money but have immediate access to it.

Statements for a savings account can be tied to your checking account so you will get a monthly statement or they can be kept separate and a statement will print at the end of every quarter.  ATM cards are offered with this type of account.

We want to help you save for a rainy day!  Savings Accounts do have a minimum opening balance requirement and limited withdrawals, so please stop in or call to speak with one of our staff so we can explain these special conditions.

Health Savings Accounts

Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are a fairly new option for individuals or employers with high deductible health insurance plans to add affordability to their health care coverage.  These accounts offer tax free benefits, year-to-year savings, contribution options, flexibility in spending and they earn interest.

There are certain Qualifications and Restrictions with Health Savings Accounts. Contact a Health Savings Account specialist to find out if a Health Savings Account is right for you.

Individual Retirement Accounts

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) are a great way for customers to save for retirement.

IRAs are basically savings accounts with terms and variable interest.  We offer Traditional, ROTH, SEP, and SIMPLE Individual Retirement Accounts.  This type of account is subject to certain retirement account qualifications.

Stop in or call to speak with an IRA specialist to see if you qualify for an Individual Retirement Account.  We will be happy to help you decide which type of account is best for you.

Certificates of Deposit

Certificates of Deposits (CD) combine the security of a savings account with the higher interest associated with an investment. CDs are interest bearing accounts with guaranteed fixed rates and a wide range of terms and interest payment options. Customers earn a guaranteed interest rate when funds are left in the account for a fixed period of time.  We offer terms of 1 month up to 60 months. We also periodically offer CD specials. Minimum opening deposit required.

Stop in or call to speak to a new accounts representative about our Certificates of Deposit.  The interest rates that we offer can change daily; to check out our current rates, view our Current CD Rates Board.

Debit/ATM Cards

Visa Check Cards or ATM cards are offered on the Regular Checking, Hometown Checking (NOW) and No Frills Checking Accounts.  The Visa Check Card is an ATM card but may also be used for purchases at any merchant displaying a VISA logo.  The Visa Check Card lets you have access to your checking account so you can leave your checkbook at home.  The ATM card may be used to obtain cash or check account balances at any ATM machine displaying the CIRRUS or NETWORKS logo.

Our Visa Check Card and ATM Card are offered to our customers.  A minimal monthly fee applies to the Visa Check Card and there is a daily withdraw or purchase limit on both cards.

Please stop in or call to inquire about our Visa Check Card.  Our knowledgeable staff would be happy to answer any questions that you may have about our Visa Check Card or ATM Card.
