Mobile Banking

It's the most convenient option to access your account anytime from your smart device anywhere.  The SCSB app is available for iPhone, iPad, Android devices.  Go to the App Store or Google Play and download the SCSB App today!!

From any phone with internet access you can securely:

  • View account balances and recent transactions

  • View pending transactions

  • Transfer funds between accounts

  • Pay bills from your mobile phone

  • Deposit checks by taking pictures from your mobile device

  • Find a South Central State Bank ATM or bank location

  • View South Central State Bank’s deposit services

 

You must be a South Central State Bank Online Banking customer to use Mobile Banking. Download the “SCSB Mobile” app from the iTunes store or the Google Play store.  If you have an Apple or Android device and plan to use the app, you can simply search for “SCSB Mobile” in your app store. Download it and log in with the same username and password you use for Internet Banking.

 

Mobile Deposit

Deposit your checks on the go from anywhere without having to stop at the bank!  Using South Central State Bank’s downloadable App, you can now make deposits by simply taking a photo of the front and back of a check.

 

Mobile Deposit is only available when using the downloadable Mobile Banking App.

 

Here are some tips to help you with this new feature:

  • Take photo against a background with a strong contrast between the check and the surrounding area

  • Position the camera above the check so there is no angle

  • Move any objects that show up in the picture away from the check

  • Make sure the check is visible, contains all four corners, is well lit and in focus

  • The check must contain a readable check number, payee name , and endorsement

  • Be sure to endorse the check “For Mobile Deposit Only” and place the last 4 digits of your account number

  • The check must contain a readable MICR line at the bottom of the check

  • The check must be drawn on an institution located within the United States

  • Securely store your check for five days after deposit, and destroy no more than 14 days after

  • Funds deposited before 5:00 p.m. CST will be available the same business day

 

Frequently Asked Questions

 

Is Mobile Banking safe and secure?  Yes, we use the latest encryption technology and secure email communications.  With the Mobile App options, you will be asked to enter your username and password each time.  So even if your phone were lost or stolen, no one would be able to access your bank accounts without your log-in credentials

 

Is Mobile Banking free?  Yes, it is free.  Please keep in mind that data usage rates from your phone service provider will still apply.

 

Can I make deposits using my mobile phone camera?  YES!

Can I use Mobile Banking with a Blackberry or Windows phone?  We do offer Mobile Banking for Blackberries and Windows phones. Blackberry and Windows phone users can use this production web browser URL: https://mBanking.firstdata.com/wap/home/SCSBCNE/en to access Mobile Banking.

 

Can I use a tablet, like an iPad, for Mobile Banking?  While you can download the South Central State Bank Mobile app on your tablet, it may not work as well as it is designed to work on a phone.  If you’d like to access your account information with a tablet, we recommend using our usual Internet Banking site through a web browser.

 

Can I view my e-statements through Mobile Banking?  E-statements are only available through our usual Internet Banking site.

 

Is Mobile Banking available for Business users?  Yes, if you are currently using Internet Banking for your business.

 

What if my phone is lost or stolen?  Because you are required to log in to Mobile Banking, your account information will still be secure.  However, we still encourage you to notify us as soon as possible so we can remove the Mobile Banking permissions from that device. You also have access to remove your device from mobile banking. Please contact the nearest South Central State Bank branch for more details on how to remove a device.

 

 

Debit Cards

The Visa Debit Card lets you have access to your checking account so you can leave your checkbook at home.  A minimal monthly fee applies to the Visa Check Card and there is a daily withdraw or purchase limit.

 

To report a lost or stolen South Central State Bank Visa Debit Card, please contact your local branch immediately.  If it is after business hours or the weekend, please call 888-263-3370.

To activate a new debit card, please call 855-726-4885.

 

South Central State Bank’s Visa Debit Card processor has introduced SecurLOCK protection for our cardholders.  SecurLOCK is a state-of-the-art program used to analyze specific factors about each transaction and rate the transaction on the likelihood of being fraudulent. Whenever high-risk transactions occur, SecurLOCK will automatically decline those transactions. A SecurLOCK fraud specialist will notify you that a potentially fraudulent transaction has been declined and provide you with the details. If the declined transaction is legitimate, the details will be made part of your card profile for future approval.  If you are contacted and have further questions, please contact your local branch office.  If you can provide prior notice of travel arrangements, we can add an alert to your account record. 

Safe Deposit Boxes

South Central State Bank offers a variety of Safe Deposit Boxes at all locations. Valuables such as Real Estate Papers, Birth Certificates, Wills, Power of Attorney Papers, jewelry or irreplaceable documents and pictures can be securely stored in a Safe Deposit Box.
